You'll have teethmarks on your arm if you try to borrow the Pfitz book!

I'm hoping for a crushing but don't want to jinx it, so dum, dee, dum, dum, just going about my merry way and willing the running gods to be on my side in April and May. :D

Strides are great, no wonder everyone always recommends them. I sure doubt your speed is stagnating, speedy guy that you are. Maybe lay lower on the easy days so there's more to "pop" on speed days. I'm doing that lately after reading Pfitz and Daniels saying it's the way to go. Trying to keep my legs as fresh as my mouth. :)

Another Glover Lover here :) In a strictly hetero running hero worship type of way of course :)

his book is my running bible! I consult it almost daily!

Yeah I need to get 'Advanced Marathoning' or at least borrow Flo's copy ( if she lets me :) )

And YES I have way too many running books as well. If thats truly even possible... NAH one can never have too many running books! Gotta love Amazon's free shipping! My wife and I ALWAYS order tons of stuff from them! I should buy stock! LOL

sounds like a great tempo run Flo! You really are having the great runs lately! I think your 5K PR is heading for a CRUSHING really soon!

I need to start implementing strides I think. Heck I need to start adding more speedwork period. Im thinking my speed is starting to stagnate a little and i'm not liking it one bit.

Mostly the mileage. And a failed joke. Plus for his plan I think you need to do more pace work. I plan to get a garmin and maybe next year try his plan. So far though I still like Glovers.

I love, love, love Bob Glover's book. I'm always looking through for something particular, lately the interval chapter has recaptured my attention. I have the Pfitz book, too and will use it for marathon training come June. Why is it too advanced for you? Mileage-wise?

I thought I had too many running books. Actually I do. Dont have Daniels yet I have 6 or 7 others. I mostly use Bob Glovers Competitive Runners Handbook for making most of my running plans. Most recently I got Pfitzinger's Advanced Marathoning and decided its too advanced for me right now.

Pokey, that is such a sweet thing to write, thank you! That means the world to me.

Can't believe you have snow still! I'm wishing you buds on trees, green grass and luscious temperatures very soon.
