Not me, I’ve been insanely slow the last couple days. I was genuinely in need of recovery yesterday, my quads hurt so I was satisfied slogging along at 9:44s. Funny how going a proper recovery pace can make you feel better as you’re running, it’s like a massage, kind of sort of not really but whatever, it works. Today was a slow easy day with some strides at the end.
Oh, so back to what’s fast. Amazon and UPS. After I wrote my last post I ordered a chin-up bar, the Iron Gym (I just did a Tarzan yell, did you hear me?) and because it was free shipping, I expected it to take longer. I wish it would have. Now it’s here I need to put it together and use it. Yikes.
But that’s tomorrow’s task. After my 5-mile race. Double Yikes. The weather is going to be pretty good: 38F 35F w/2mph wind, so let’s see what I get. I’d like to get the lower half of 35. I’ll let you know tomorrow how it goes.

OH, fun! A chin-up bar! I never thought of getting one but now that you mention it, it sounds like a great idea for our poor man’s home gym.
You’re going to rock the race, too!
Good luck with your race tomorrow!! Sending fast thoughts your way.
I have the iron Gym. Bought it from walmart for christmas. Love it!
My son loves it even more. I think my son has about ripped off the doorcasing since he uses it so much.. LOL!
So are you going to get ripped like the guy in the video?
Good luck in your race tomorrow. Run like hell! Anxiously waiting to hear how how you do!!!
Thanks, Kazz, Biogirl and Heidi!
Dave, so glad you said that. I went for the one with the most reviews thinking it’s the least likely to fall off the door and kill me.
Joe, yeah, that’s my ultimate plan. Lol!
Iron Gym, Iron Woman! Have a great race tomorrow!
It’s great how a bit of slow running can be therapeutic. I found that out by accident a while back when I ran 2 miles on a rest day in order to hit a weekly total (I think it was 50 miles). I felt really great afterwards.
Thanks for the race wishes, Jim!
