"no need to panic"...easy for you to say! I know, of course you have to reassure your dedicated readers that you are not the one suffering. Sorry, I'm in my 5th week of wearing a walking boot because I took 3 pills so I'm an angry woman.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Hopefully I'll be out of the boot in 2 weeks and onto building fitness again. In the meantime, go on a nice long run for me!

Gack! I come to check in here and all this talk about injuries? I am throwing holy water at my monitor and reaching for the crucifix (and I am not the least bit religious). Eek - happy thought please Flo, happy thoughts...

Speedy recoveries to Leon and Lara. Yikes! Glad you are making the PA about the antibiotics. Who would guess that? Great LR for you lady and congrats on the mileage PR. I truly respect your diligence in building up to all of this. Keep it up Flo! XO-Jackie/HG

Great job on the LR, even in the "heat." Be sure to stay away from these bad luck friends during tapering. You wouldn't want anything to rub off on you. Ha! Just kidding. Keep going strong!

Christi, sorry to hear you had a tough Half yesterday. Spring is just about here, cutie, so not too much longer.

Glorybelle, thanks woman! Is Lent over with yet? You're missed at MRT!

Vince, oh crap, it sucks that you're dealing with achilles issues. Here's hoping they leave the building soon and once and for all!

Kazz, lol, I just went to your blog to read the 12 Days Of Taper. I hope everyone checks it out...it's too cute. I'm so excited that your week has finally arrived! Looking forward to a great race from you this weekend.

Heidi, you poor thing! Sucks about missing your Half but in the larger scheme, you did the right thing. No, your body isn't a piece of shit, though that did give me a good laugh. I've heard wonderful things about ART, so hopefully that'll get you back in the game sooner. Be good to yourself, girl.

Julie, coming from a 100mpw runner like you, that is especially appreciated. Thanks for the pump up. You're right about the confidence factor, these numbers still very daunting at this point but I'm determined to milk every little bit of fitness out of my body come May 3rd. Here's to me not chickening out!

Jim, I didn't think of you as having speed/confidence problems, you've been doing so well and I'm sure you're going to conquer Big Sur with all the strength and power you've got. You're going to have a great race!

Ugh worms! Best get-well wishes to Leon and Lara.

I was wondering how your endurance was holding up with all this speedy short racing you've been doing. I needn't have worried, it seems!
I like Julie's phrase "confidence to run hard enough". I've been having a problem with that, but I'm working on it.
