Sunday was a 12-miler (8:43 avg. pace), giving me 52.2 miles for the week. Then yesterday I ran 7 @ 8:19 (sped up in the middle with some 8:04s). Last night my quads were feeling it, so today, hopefully, will be an easy run.
“Hopefully” because I woke up with diarrhea. Very annoying, especially when I’ve only missed one day of running this month, a rest day taken before I uttered the word “streak”. I’m on Jim’s page now though, and no longer see it as a streak, but my new 7 day/week schedule. Still, it’d be nice to keep going since everything else feels fine.
Potential Double Pooh, too, because we’re expecting some major weather to begin this afternoon through tomorrow and I’m on track for a mileage record this month. That’ll come through even if I miss a day though, so no big worry there.
What cheap entertainment, creating records just because I feel like it. Running is so useful that way.
12pm edit: Now my tummy feels like crap. Looks like a rest day today. Why couldn’t this happen tomorrow when ice pellets are in the forecast? Sigh.

Sorry you are sick… I hope you get better soon!!!!
What you need is some Kashi Go Lean Crunch.
Hope you feel better.
Glad I wasnt drinking my coffee when reading Julie’s comment. Keyboards are tricky to clean.
Yup, time for a “Rest training day”. Feel better soon!
stop stealing my weight loss secrets!
I’m outta bed for a second to check on goings-on. Julie and Doggie, I laughed so loud at your comments, Christi and Jim, thanks for the sweet wishes. I hope it’s gone tomorrow, this truly sucks. OK, back to bed for me, hope you’re all having good running days today.
Jee-suz, Remind not to open your blog while drinking a diet coke. I about choked – my screen pops up with the giant word “POOH”.
I hope you feel better GIM. I’m in Mom mode: Have you had any Pepto? Or regular coke or ginger ale to settle it down? Do you have a fever? Get some rest, I hope you feel better quickly.
Also, you may want to rethink your choice of the word “streak” in this post. I’m just saying.
Training log 1/27/09: Bathroom sprints, 30 repetitions @6:45. total 0.23 miles. Intense training session, some soreness afterwards.
HAHAHA!! You guys are the best.
I must be real sick, I got my box of shoes from Runningwarehouse and it’s just sitting there unopened. I don’t think I have a fever, so hopefully I’ll be ok tomorrow. And thanks Mirnr, your comment sent me to the fridge where I found a bottle of tonic water stuck in the back. That helped bring some burpies.
Hope you feel better, im sure running in ice pellets will be fun! Expecting lots of snow here so my mini streak may end tomorrow. or not! Stay tuned. If you get a mile in running to the bathroom does that keep the streak alive???
Good luck with the weather Bruce, hope you get to continue it (though a job to end it would even be better).
Feel better Flo.
My my, we get the words POOH and streak, and runs all in the same post. Very punny aren’t we. Heal soon Flo!
Tobey lets be glad she didnt mention running over railroad tracks.
