Ela, that’s funny, small world. In it’s defense, when I go back as an adult, I find it to be a hugely charming college town – gorgeous amid all that nature and the people are, for the most part, really sweet.

I have an 18 year old daughter and a 13 year old daughter and let me tell you absolutely nothing has changed since we went to school. The a holes are still the aholes!! God I love being in my 40′s!!!!!!!!!!

Oh just to clarify, Akron wasnt my PR, last year I did 4:26 in Cleveland, this year was worse. But feel I was improving thru this year.

Even though all that happened more than 25 years ago, it sticks with me. I still have fantasies of showing up to the 30-year reunion in 2011 in a slinky black dress that accentuates my bad-ass marathoning self

Yeah, I had a great time at my 10th reunion for the same reason. I should clarify that for me it was merciless teasing too, nobody beat me up or anything. On another note, I had to laugh at the picture on your blog, the “no crying in baseball” pic, too cute.

Can’t kids be cruel? I wasn’t really bullied in school, but was definitely teased (I was taller than all the other kids — including the boys — and was SOOOO terribly geeky and awkward). I have to admit it was fun going back to reunions to see the people who once teased me are all fat and still living in the same dumpy little town!
