So my race time (next time I will ask before I leave the dang race) was 44:48 and I was 8th woman. Not bad. Then again, lest you think I’m satisfied, I just have to look at the #3 female finisher, 50 years old, who came in at 41:10. Wow. I wonder how close I’ll ever get to that. A girl can dream, anyway.

That 50 year old is catchable. You’re still improving at a good rate, Flo. How fast will you be going in, say, 3 years?
Fast enough to kick a 53 year-old woman in the shins before the race starts.
Flo, you will surprise yourself with the improvements you’ll make. I remember running a 10K a couple of years ago in 46:13 and thinking that I would not get much faster than that. I have yet to break 41:00, but I’m close. Just a couple of years of consistent running and training has led to that improvement. Never stop going for it!
Glorybelle, this is music to my ears!! Knowing you were in my shoes (and seeing how far you’ve come) is so incredibly heartening! Thank you so much for letting me know.
GIM – I’ve said it before, but I’m going to say it again..YOU ROCK!!!! Keep up all the good work!!!
awesome! I have no doubt you will catch her. Rabbits are so nice to have!
Wow!! I’m looking at your Race PRs on the side… it looks like you WILL PR your 10k on 11/02/09!! Amazing… simply amazing!!!
Da Weekend, good catch! Thanks, I fixed it now. Lol, I better have a new 10K PR by next November.
Mirnr, Doggie, I love you gals and you know it.
And kudos to both of you for how strong you’re getting this cycle, our little Women’s BQ thread is becoming formidable!
