Hi Flo, so happy to hear you ran pain free! I feel like sometimes injuries cause us to appreciate our wellness more. :)

I, too, am following the Pfitz 18/55 plan, to start at the end of June. I'm going to modify the 20-runs out to 22.5 or 23; my last long run before the marathon a couple of weeks ago, was about 22.5 miles. I found that psychologically, it was HUGE! (Hint--if you walk around for about 1/2 to 45 minutes after your long runs, you will recover faster--I found this out while trying to find my car after that run!) LOL!

I love your posts, so please be sure to keep us updated on how the training is going!

Bruce, sounds like a plan! Good to know what your body can take as far as training before it breaks down. Hope this go round is easier for you, should be since you have a base already.

Dan...aw, I'm so sorry to hear you're hurtin'! Especially with important stuff coming up. Try not to freak out and if you need to, take a day or two off! It certainly won't harm your training, you've been like clockwork for a long time now, except for the bout of flu or whatever you had. Here's to a strong, pain free quad! Oh, and be proactive, ice, stick, whatever you can do to help it, do.

Good to hear you are back on track :)
I cannot wait to dump all this short game work and move onto the half and full training plans myself.
Pulled my left quad doing speedwork tonight, so I guess I will take your place on the injured list. Test #2 is only 3 weeks away, too, so I am pretty much scared shitless now :(

Anyway, maybe I will check that movie out while I heal :)

Mid 40's sounds about right for me. I like Glovers plan. I just move days around a little. And I do prefer the LSD every other week, more recovery time. If I do Akron like me and some others have discussed I will do more hill work, or like Yasso suggests in his plan, find a route thats real hilly for that distance and run it hard. Not like an easy plan. I think I got shin splint from jumping up mileage too fast and it probably part of my problem in race.

Unexpected in so many ways! Lol, I teared up, too, it was so crazy moving. Bianca was great, even though she didn't have any lines. :)

Lars and the Real Girl was so unexpectedly sweet. I teared up at the end and then felt really embarrassed for crying over a movie about a sex doll. =P

That's why I like the Marathon Training Forum, that's all it is, training plan talk. I see you asked about the Yasso book, I'm interested if anyone knows. Glover's plan looks good, 3 20s and a 22. Is mid-40s as high as you'd like to peak?
