What’s a gal to do? When I started this blog, I had it in my mind to fill it with observational running stuff, more along the lines of humorous essay writing. I’ve enjoyed doing that, but I end up with quite long entries and it’s not something I can sustain on a day-to-day basis.
Looking around at other running blogs, I wonder if I should change the format to more of a daily running diary. Guess I’ll just play it by ear, but if any of you guys and gals have a preference, leave me a comment to let me know.
And on that note, I’ll make this one follow the latter style…
Just returned from a beautiful 9-miler on a stunningly sunny, but windy day. Kept a comfortable 8:44 pace with negative splits (always a good sign since my last mile is uphill).
Also, I apparently have a new construction worker boyfriend, though my main construction BF is still on the job and says something whenever I see him, this new guy I passed today yelled out to me, “how many miles you run a day…30?” I answered, “a bunch” but I must say, 30 sounds so much better. So yeah, I went 30 today.

Hi Flo~
Um, so my blog 2 cents, even though I don’t have one:
The beauty of a blog is it’s you. Whatever that is. So, write when you want, don’t when you don’t want to. I enjoy quickies as much as the next.
I like putting on my Flo glasses and seeing life through your eyes.
I enjoy the humorous essay writing. I don’t think you should be able to sustain it everyday. I’m not witty 24/7, why should you get to be.
You keep writing, I’ll keep reading (and dreaming;)).
Carrot to someone, somewhere,
Amy
Amy, you win for best response (even if it is the only one). It means I can do whatever the hell I want, and that suits me fine
. Thanks for the input and thanks for reading this stuff, my little running chickadee.
I agree with Amy! Write whatever you feel so inclined to write about. it doesnt always have to be about your run or even running. Just write what moves you!
i always enjoy your posts and comments whatever they may be about.
great job on keeping up your pace and the neagative splits. Your getting very speedy and im getting worried you’ll be BQing at my time before I do
Group Hug!! Matt, you always know just what to say to make me all happy and joyful. Thanks for another vote to write whatever, it’s freeing to say the least! I just didn’t want to scare away any readers (even though they don’t comment, I apparently have some, lol). Then again, boring to one guy is interesting to another, so you can’t please everyone, huh?
Hah, but don’t go kissing my ass too much (re: your BQ comment) or I won’t believe anything you have to say. But let me tell you, I can’t WAIT to run Steamtown with you, boyee – we’re going to share some kick-ass memories.
humor me please! that’s one of the reasons I like you so much! it’s ok if it isn’t everyday or even every week or even about running. or if it’s short one day and long the next. come on girlie, you’ve got a sex drawer filled with running clothes – whose being scared away? I’m sure everyone is just waiting for the next post like me!
Lara, you crack me up and I am proud to say, I used some of the goodies smashed below the running clothes twice this week! Thanks for the good words, I’ll keep on writing how I feel then, especially if it brings my friends out of the woodwork.
Flo,
You know we will read anything you put out there. I just wish I had time to tell all of my amusing stories to the world, uh yeah. Keep up the good work, even if you are still faster than me!
Tobey, thanks so much for speaking up! A big hug goes to you for choosing to read the crap I put out, period. I must say, I feel so lucky to have actual readers, lol, not to mention such complimentary ones. I wish many speedy miles for you this year!
Love the blog, keep doing what you’re doing!
Thanks, Jenn!! I’m a glutton for positive comments
